Courtney C Johnson

Welcome to my Web site. I am a Master of Arts student in German studies at The University of Arizona.

I began working toward my MA in August 2008. My academic interests are visual culture (particularly art history and film studies), German-Jewish literature and history, and Medieval history and literature. After completing my MA, I will enroll in a PhD program in German studies. I have applied to several PhD programs and am awaiting admission news. My goal is to someday teach German studies and visual culture courses at a university.

I graduated from the UA in May 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism with a minor in creative writing and a Bachelor of Arts in German studies with a minor in art history, summa cum laude, with double honors. I received the DaVinci Award from the UA Honors College for completing more than one bachelors thesis and the Silver Award from the Honors College for maintaining a perfect grade point average.

My hometown is Willcox, Arizona, a rural city in southeastern Arizona. I graduated from Willcox High School in 2004.
